Facebook Username Land Grab Begins Friday Night
by Cyrus Wadia

Starting on Friday, June 12th at 9:01 p.m. (PDT), Facebook users will be allowed to create personalized URLs on a first-come, first-served basis for their Facebook pages (http://www.facebook.com/yourname).
Rights holders interested in preventing their trademarks from being registered as usernames will need to inform Facebook and fill out a short online form.  If an infringer is able to register a rights holder's trademark as a username before they are able to do so, there is a Notice of Intellectual Property Infringement (Non-Copyright Claim) form available.
For further information on the Username process, see Facebook's Help Center
