The FCC released today its officially designated inflation adjustment factors for the second quarter of 2007 and the year to June 30, for use by rate regulated cable operators choosing to file basic cable service rate adjustments on FCC Form 1240 or annual adjustments on Form 1210.  The specialized inflation adjustment figure is 1.0265% for the quarterly 1240 filing, as measured by the FCC’s chosen, notoriously low-and-lagged inflation index.  The figure for use in an annual 1210 filing is 1.0273%.

The Commission’s Public Notice specifies where the new figure should be entered on Form 1210, or Form 1240 either for true-up or projection purposes as the case may be, and also summarizes the previously published Form 1240 inflation figures for earlier quarters.
