Kate’s practice focuses on intellectual property law, in particular trademark and copyright. For over twenty years, she has advised clients in fields encompassing technology, life sciences, food and beverage and consumer goods on protecting and enforcing their rights worldwide. She counsels clients on the adoption of new trademarks, trademark and copyright licensing, registration, policing and usage issues. In addition, she advises clients on issues related to domain names and advertising.
Before entering the legal profession, Kate worked in the fields of magazine and book publishing. She is a member of the board of Muttville Senior Dog Rescue and a member of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Modern Art Council.
Kate is a member of the California State Bar, and is admitted to practice before courts in the Northern and Central districts of California. She graduated from Georgetown University Law Center and Tufts University (cum laude).
