Cooper, White & Cooper LLP announces a strategic alliance with Coombs & Dunlap, LLP a prominent Napa law firm established 125 years ago.
“We are very excited to be able to team up with such high quality, talented people,” commented Malcolm A. Mackenzie, Coombs & Dunlap’s managing partner. Mark Schreiber, managing partner of Cooper, White & Cooper explained that “our two firms have worked together on matters over the years and we came to the conclusion that a more formalized association would help broaden opportunities for the firms and provide benefits to our clients.”
For Napa County clients of Coombs & Dunlap, the alliance will provide specialized legal services not currently available to local businesses, vintners, and farmers. For example, Cooper, White & Cooper’s specialized trademark services will be readily available to local wineries; and local businesses can access specialized labor and employment law resources. Similarly, Cooper, White & Cooper’s clients will have access to local representation in Napa and expanded expertise in family law, estate planning, and agribusiness matters. Cooper, White & Cooper also has the capability to provide high level litigation support to the lawyers at Coombs & Dunlap.
“We’ve worked regularly with colleagues at Cooper, White & Cooper over the years,” noted Coombs & Dunlap business law chairperson Randy Skidmore. “We know them and the kind of high quality work they do. Our alliance will allow immediate access to the specialized resources of a big city law firm, while allowing our clients to maintain their local relationships with us. It’s really the best of both worlds.”
Cooper, White & Cooper maintains offices in San Francisco and Walnut Creek, and its attorneys are also available to meet clients at Coombs & Dunlap’s offices in Napa and St. Helena.
