Cooper, White & Cooper LLP is pleased to announce that Jamie Chou and Patrick Rosvall are now members of the firm, resident in the firm’s San Francisco office, effective January 1, 2008. According to firm chair Mark Schreiber, “we are gratified to have the opportunity to welcome two lawyers who have spent their entire legal careers at the firm to our partnership ranks.”
Ms. Chou’s practice covers a broad range of corporate transactional and civil litigation matters in diverse areas including media, corporate, intellectual property, real estate, and labor law. She represents and counsels clients on media and cable regulatory issues, mergers and acquisitions, corporate formations and dissolutions, commercial real estate lease and sale agreements, and proprietary licensing, sales, distribution, and marketing agreements. Ms. Chou also represents clients in commercial state and federal court litigation. She participates in the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Law Academy program where she provides mentoring services to disadvantaged and ethnically diverse high school students at Mission High School. Ms. Chou received her Juris Doctor in 2000 from the University of California at Los Angeles where she also did her undergraduate work. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Mr. Rosvall’s practice includes regulatory, litigation, tax, and business matters, with a focus on the needs of telecommunications, media, and technology companies. He participates in civil litigation and appellate matters before state and federal courts and regularly appears in administrative proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission and the California State Board of Equalization. Mr. Rosvall works closely with a variety of telecommunications-related entities, including wireline telephone companies, cable and video providers, Internet service providers, broadband companies, and wireless carriers. He is admitted to practice in California and Nevada and is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association and the California Conference of Public Utility Counsel. Mr. Rosvall earned his Juris Doctor in 2001 from the University of California at Los Angeles where he also completed his undergraduate studies.
