Peter Califano was sworn in as the 123rd President of the Commercial Law League of America for the 2016-2017 term during its National Convention recently held in Chicago, IL.  In 2011, Mr. Califano testified in Congress and has since organized the CLLA’s leading effort for bankruptcy venue reform.  He has over 29 years in experience in representing parties in all aspects of insolvency-related matters, including bankruptcy and state law insolvency proceedings, litigation and related business transactions. 

About the CLLA

The CLLA, founded in 1895, is the nation’s oldest organization of attorneys and other experts in credit and finance and is actively engaged in the fields of commercial transactions, litigation, collection and bankruptcy. Its membership consists of nearly 1,000 lawyers, judges, trustees, collection agencies, and other insolvency professionals from virtually every state in the United States.
